I have been a green crafter long before it was cool.

As a child, I used what I had to create.

That might be pebbles and twigs from nature, scraps of fabric or paper, tin cans, or anything else I snagged from the trash.

I continued that trend my whole life.

I am so pleased that many others recycle or repurpose or reuse.

When I did my Woodland Wonder Series, I made several pieces that did not make it into Jewelry Affaire magazine. 

I thought I would share them here with you.

I like this necklace.

This little polymer wood nymph  incorporates moss twigs and feathers in the design...

 A twiggy, mossy heart...

I love how this necklace has the whimsical bead wrapped stick as part of the design...

Another of those little Charlottes.

I make my own from polymer clay.

And a little polymer clock...

This one is very layered...

I can see a very delicate wood nymph wearing this with white and green flowing clothes...

Pearls, chains, trinkets and moss...

I am drawn to pieces that tell stories and have multiple layers to examine.

Changing Metal Finishes

I always buy metal bangles when they are dirt cheap.

Last summer I played around and discovered some fantastic new patinas for these pieces.

They started like this...

And ended up looking like this....

I realize this look is not for everyone.

But I love it!

Once I get the look just right, I seal it with wax and give it a good buffing.

These  make me smile....

I tried it on necklaces as well.

They get a great new look...

Actually an old look.

Soldering Glass Necklaces

  I am not an expert at soldering.

I am learning.

It is a technique I really love.

I wanted to share a few soldered glass necklaces.

This little glass ball started as a mini clear Christmas ball.

I love to fill these with little bits, baubles and trinkets.

 This little marble is fun.

It is a simple way to practice my skills.

I did the same thing with little glass pebbles.

These purple ones were pretty tiny.

These would be a great little gift for someone special....
