Bracelet stacks

Sorry I have been MIA lately.

Sometimes life throws you some curve balls.

But I am back now.

How about some pretty bracelet stacks to celebrate?

I love this set for summer...

And this one is actually a single piece that looks like a bracelet stack.  

I wear this one all the time.

I made it just for me.

I never do that...

Shabby Chic purse

I have always wanted to make one of those great shabby chic purses...

You know...the ones with whites and creams, lace and more.

So last summer I made myself one.

I had tons of fun getting things out and layering them onto my bag base.

For the base I used 2 quilt squares that have button holes around the edges.

I also re-purposed some pretty sheets from the thrift store for the fringe on the bottom and the strap.

The strap is long so it can be used as a cross body bag.

I printed a few fun images on muslin.

When I do that, I make tons all at one time and then use them as inspiration strikes.

Time to make another purse soon I think....

Mermaid Crown

I am fascinated with crowns.

Which is sort of funny because I do not consider myself a diva kind of girl.

I guess every girl has a secret princess inside.

So I wanted to take a hand at making my own mermaid crown.

Here she is....

Talk about fun....

You know when you get to use seashells, pearls and glitter that it is going to be a great time....

The tulle added just the touch I was looking for...

And I am in love with the graphic appeal of a starfish...

I am drawn to any piece that has starfish incorporated...

I love the additions of the little bits of tulle here and there....

I need a pretty mermaid model to wear it...

I used the finest glitter....

Love the tiny shimmer of it...

This was a great use for all the seashells I am always buying at yard sales and the thrift stores...

Truth be told, I have many jars filled with tiny (and not-so-tiny) seashells.

So I have my own little piece of magic now...

It is a bit heavy to actually wear, but it brings me joy none-the-less.

Triple Strand Bracelets

What is a good day like for you?

A good day for me is making something...

A friend, a good dinner, or something beautiful.

I have a lot of good days.

I have a lot of amazing people that I call friends, a few good meals here and there, and I make A LOT of stuff.

Here are a couple triple stand bracelets.

Today's material of choice is buttons.

Buttons and waxed linen cord.

If you have been here before, you know I love that stuff.

There is something so relaxing and satisfying to me to string and knot with waxed linen.

This bracelet has vintage buttons, pearls and these fun blue beads.

I love that little turtle charm dangle too.

 I love multi strand bracelets for the look and the ease to wear.

  They look like you took time to gather and assemble the pieces and put them on, but nope!

One simple hook clasp and you are ready to go.

From The Fairy Forest

When I did my Woodland Wonder Series, I made several pieces that did not make it into Jewelry Affaire magazine. 

I thought I would share them here with you.

I like this necklace.

This little polymer wood nymph  incorporates moss twigs and feathers in the design...

 A twiggy, mossy heart...

I love how this necklace has the whimsical bead wrapped stick as part of the design...

Another of those little Charlottes.

I make my own from polymer clay.

And a little polymer clock...

This one is very layered...

I can see a very delicate wood nymph wearing this with white and green flowing clothes...

Pearls, chains, trinkets and moss...

I am drawn to pieces that tell stories and have multiple layers to examine.
